Rollin' Down The River!

That's right... Rolling... Brevan can now roll over to his , from his back, on his own.  Not only that, but roll over to his back, from his tummy. =(  He is getting SO BIG!!!
Did I mention the spinning before?? Well it has excalated to spinning on his tummy AND his back! Brev has figured out that if he rolls, then lays back down, he moved a little bit.. So in 3 or 4 minutes time, he is facing a whole new direction!

On a less exciting note, he has his 4 month checkup on Friday, (shots..) so he will be pretty sore for Myton Daze.. He probably won't be rolling around then..

You Spin Me Right 'Round, Baby!!

Brev cannot crawl yet.. but he can SPIN!!
I laid him down on the floor, on his belly.
I went to the restroom.
Came back, and almost had a heart attack!
He had spun a complete 180 degrees.

STRESS!!!!

Okay.. Let me explain myself and my insanity.  I am a new mom, a stay-at-home wife/mom, and a student at USU.   I'm getting my degree (slowly) in Elementary Education and IT IS KICKIN MY BUTT!!!!
I'm trying to finish two classes right now in order to prepare for Fall Semester. 
One teacher wants me to spend 10+ hours a WEEK on her class, the other just wants everything done by end of July.. I have to attend a concert, go to an art show, go to a museum, watch 3 different movies, read 4 different books, volunteer my time to an educational service, come up with some activity that I think will contiribute to my personal development, write 7 different papers, take 10 quizzes, prepare a "Teaching" project that could be used in a lesson plan for K-6th grade, AND get all of this done in the next 2 months.
ALL while changing diapers, feeding a baby, laundry, cooking, being a wife & mother, ETC.
I'm just stressing myself out... But if I want to get my degree, this is I'll have to juggle.... UGH help???

Grandma is coming!!

Justin's mother, Jana Marie, is coming from FLORIDA!! She's actually in Oregon right now picking up Lin & Janalyn, then they're headed this way!  We're super excited!! Too bad my house can't clean itself????


I can't wait until Brev is old enough that we can visit Grandma at HER house! =D

Scootin' & Squirmin'

This little boy... I swear..
Brevan has now figured out how to move... on his back!!
He was laying in the middle of his crib, sound asleep.  I check on him a few hours later (in the middle of the night), and he has his head stuck in the corner!  He is pushing himself with his little feet and sliding like a little worm!
LOL, it was sad, but cute.  And he can now roll over from his belly to his back, both ways.  He is trying REALLY hard to crawl, but his little arms just aren't strong enough yet.  Ha, I need to post the video I took the other day.. He was on his belly, trying to crawl, and he was kicking his little feet WAY UP in the air lol and getting frustrated because he wasn't going anywhere!! Poor guy haha.. (I'll post the video as soon as I figure out how =S)

Ooh, Baby Baby!! (Meaning, 2 babies?)

Brev has now hit the 15 lb. mark! He is now as big as his 9 month old cousin, Janalyn! LOL! Chunky kid...

Janalyn is coming!! Grandma Jana (Justin's mommy) and Melinda (Justin's sister) and baby Janalyn (Lin's baby girl) are coming in ONE WEEK!!  The only 2 grandbabies on this side of the family are FINALLY going to meet! (But I doubt either will remember..) -- (Miranda will not be able to come, but when we go down to Florida for either Thanksgiving/Xmas, we'll see her!)

So we are going to be taking a MILLION photos.  Last time Janalyn was here, she was about 6 months old, and 13 lbs.  She could play in Brevan's jumper and barely touch her toes! I'm thinking that she'll be just as small as she was then, but even more cute!

From Marriage To Parenthood.. Smooooth

We didn't plan on things going the way they did... but we're sure glad it all happened now. Friends and family have been supportive(ish) and understanding(ish). Some people just don't need to know everything, and that bothers them... hence the (ish)'s in our life.




We've been married since August 23rd, 2008. Justin was 22 and I was 18. We had already been living together since February, which really didn't seem like a big deal to us. However, a lot of people didn't see it that way... We were "living in sin" and needed to be punished, whether that was some of our friends and family avoiding us all together or telling other people how horrible we were. Eh, it was okay though. We were happy and didn't need permission to be.

Since "The Long Family" was established, we've traveled, changed occupations a couple times, purchased new vehicles, sold old ones, had a few serious discussions, and neverending silly ones. The best thing of all that we've done together is start having children. Our son, Brevan Carter Long, was born February 23rd, 2010. (Two years after his daddy proposed to is mommy!!)

Brevan is such a joy!! He's been through a couple hundred diapers and 3 boxes of clothes (yikes!). Now, 3 months old, he is wearing size 6mo. clothing and filling them out very well! He just started laughing a few days ago and is smiling constantly. I've decided that I need to keep a diary/blog/journal to keep track of what he does from now on so I don't forget!!!





--Brevan's Likes--
He likes it when I blow a little air on his face. That's what provoked his first giggle!
He LOVES showers! He likes to watch the water (until it gets in his eyes lol).
Also, he likes it when you hold his hands and clap! (especially when you make funny noises)
Brevan likes to sit up and look around, and loves it when you hold him facing outward when walking, so he can see! (It's hard for me to hold him this way because he's so heavy.. I blame his dad!)
He likes to blow spit bubbles all over, but he doesn't like it when I wipe away the drool...
He likes to kick things, especially when he's talking gibberish. It get's him excited!
He likes watching me wink ;) because I make a noise lol this also provokes giggles.
He LOVES people!! (except when he's hungry..) Which is kind of scary for me because if this continues, he may just go away with a stranger in the future... (MUST teach him about "Stranger Danger!")
Brev loves to see himself in the mirror. The first time we tried this, he saw himself (not knowing that was him..) and then Mommy.... AND MOMMY WAS HOLDING ANOTHER BABY!!! (he thought..) Then he cried lol... I felt bad for laughing, but it was too darn cute.




--Brevan's Dislikes--
He does not like it when he's getting lotioned up after a shower. Slimy doesn't work!
He doesn't like being ignored (like right now..) lol or he starts to FAKE CRY!!!!!!! (Ohhh I know the difference...) And when you don't sooth him right away, this turns into a real cry. =(
Brevan does not like getting dressed... I won't say he only likes being naked.. because he doesnt really mind either way.. It's just the process of getting dressed/undressed that he dislikes.









----------He's starting to be playful now, so I have to go!! Yay!!!
